Working with scientists from the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, one of the UK’s leading space research facilities, the new show “8 Minutes” is inspired by the sun and the time it takes for light to reach Earth.

The show is premiering next June at the Sadler’s Wells theatre.

After being diagnosed with cancer in 2010, Proffer's paintings took a new direction. She became interested in microbiology, DNA, cells and science and her latest exhibition is the first one to bring her science-related artworks together.
